About the Program
Make a reservation for a pass on the day you wish to pick it up. Passes are loaned for three (3) days with no renewals.

Passes for two different museums may be borrowed at one time by any Glen Ridge Library card holder, ages 18+ with an account in good standing, e.g., no overdue material or outstanding fines/fees.

Fines and fees can be paid online through your library account ($0.50 convienence fee applies). Passes returned past their due date will incur a $5.00 per day fee (max $20.00). Unreturned passes will be charged the replacement fee of the location in question.

A deposit is no longer required when borrowing a pass.

Passes must be returned to the adult department desk during operating hours. Do not return a pass to the book drop or a different library. Please note that reservations do depend on the previous borrower returning the pass on time.

How to Pick Up and Return
Reserved passes may be picked up at the Adult Services Desk on the 2nd floor. Passes may not be returned in the book drop.

**IMPORTANT TO KNOW**
  • If you are unable to borrow a pass that you have reserved, you must cancel the reservation in advance. You may cancel a reservation through this system or by calling 973-748-5482.
  • Failure to cancel a reserved museum pass will result in a “no-show" flag on your account which will impact your ability to borrow passes in the future.
  • The Library reserves the right to cancel a reservation if a museum pass is not checked out within 24-hours after a reservation begins.

How to Borrow a Pass Using our Online Reservation System
  1. Choose which date and pass you would like to reserve.  Note: if the day says NOT AVAILABLE it means the Library is closed or the pass is already reserved.  If a museum is closed, it will say MUSEUM CLOSED.
  2. Click on PLUS SIGN (+) on the date you will PICK UP the pass.
  3. Enter your library card number and PIN/password.  The PIN/password is the same as the one you use to log into your online library account. Contact us if you need to reset your PIN/password.
  4. Expired cards or those with outstanding fines will be unable to place a reservation.  A valid adult Glen Ridge Library card must be used for the reservation.  Contact us if you need assistance with renewing your account.  Fines may be paid online with a credit card through your online account.
  5. Click CONTINUE and verify the information is correct, if so, click on submit and the pass will be reserved for you.
  6. If you need to cancel your request, you may do so by logging in to the reservation software using your library card number and PIN/password.  You may also call us at 973-748-5482.
