Fines and Fees
The Glen Ridge Public Library is fine free and we not charge overdue fines on most materials. Due to the limited availability and high demand on items in the Library of Things, items returned late from this collection do incur a daily late fee of $5.00 per day. For any item not returned 90-days past its due date, you will be charged the replacement cost of the item plus a $5.00 processing fee. Library cards with overdue items will not be able to borrow until items are returned or renewed. Not all libraries in BCCLS are fine free. If you borrow items from libraries that still charge overdue fines, you will be subject to those fines. The Glen Ridge Library cannot waive or remove any fines incurred from other libraries' material. Overdue fines and other unpaid charges will be recorded by the computer when your items are checked in. Items returned in the book drop after closing time are counted as being returned that day. Cards with overdue fines/fees of $10.00 or more will be blocked.
Auto-Renew
Items with eligible renewals will automatically renew for all users. Eligible items will renew automatically 3 days before their due date for the full loan period. You will receive a notification via email or text if an eligible item has been renewed. Notification is only via email or text, so be sure we have your current information in our system. You can still renew eligible items at any time through your account at bccls.org or at any BCCLS library.
An item is not eligible for Auto-Renew if:
