Are you interested in volunteering with the Glen Ridge Public Library?  There are many different ways you can assist us from straightening shelves, to packing materials to send to different libraries, to delivering materials to home-bound patrons, providing computer assistance and more. 
​You will need to complete an application and meet with the Director or Reference Librarian prior to being accepted into our volunteer program.  Please note, the availability of volunteer opportunities vary as this is a popular program.  If there are no current openings, you are welcome to complete an application and be put on file for future availability.

• Court ordered community service volunteers are required to be interviewed by the Library Director prior to being accepted for service.
• Persons aged 14 and older may apply to be a volunteer. 
• Volunteers under the age of 18 required to perform service for specific programs are accepted on a short-term basis. Parents/guardians of junior volunteers must sign a consent form for their children to perform volunteer service hours at the Library.

Please note: all of our volunteer positions require a training period, and we ask our volunteers to commit to at least a few months of volunteering as a result. If you need to volunteer immediately, or to volunteer a large number of hours in a short timeframe, we might not be the best fit.
